Fi’lia’s signature beloved Pavlova turns pink for October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Named after the word “daughter”, the multiple award-winning Italian restaurant at the SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences is recognized for its female staff. A team of passionate and talented women brings together the authenticity and life of Fi’lia, the first female-led restaurant in the region championing women, their bottomless strength, and creativity.
The most popular dessert “the Pavlova” has been changed from its white and sunshine-drenched colours of “Coconut and passion fruit cream, coconut meringue, and mango gelato” to a pink pop of “Figs compote, lime mascarpone cream, and slices of fresh figs raspberry gelato.”
The month of October has been designated as a Pink Month in a global effort to raise awareness of breast cancer. Chef Sara Aqel, rarely seen without her signature bandana, will sport a pink bandana along with her team throughout the month of October. This one is for mothers, daughters, female family members, and friends. The colour pink is significant to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, representing courage to fight the battle ahead, remaining hopeful for the future, and an unspoken communication of continuous support amongst all women, and people globally.
With Chef Sara Aqel at the helm, Fi’lia is notorious for its delightful dishes bursting with constant new flavours, and October’s Pavlova sounds absolutely divine, a treat for your taste buds, and a loud message of solidarity with all women around the world.
The Pavlova dessert remains the same at 52 AED, and will only be available throughout the month of October.
The signature Coconut Pavlova will make a return in November.
