Abu Dhabi is planning one of the most lavish New Year’s Eve celebrations in the world by ringing in 2019 in style with an incredible display of fireworks, star-studded musical events and a host of inspiring experiences.
The vibrant Emirate, which has seen a year of record-breaking growth, is set to sparkle with midnight fireworks displays in multiple locations, including an elaborate 10-minute experience over the famed Corniche waterfront. Plus, a star-studded affair will be held on Yas Island, where a soon-to-be-announced superstar will headline a memorable concert. In the past, music giants like Katy Perry and Coldplay have helped visitors celebrate.
Another reason to head to the world-class destination for leisure and business travel is the chance to enjoy staying at renowned luxury hotels like Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi and soak in world-acclaimed tourist spots like Louvre Abu Dhabi. What's more, there’s a plethora of new luxury hotels like EDITION, which boasts a celebrity chef, spa and a three-storey stand-alone nightlife venue, Royal M Hotel and Rixos Saadityat. Along the beachfront and close to where world-class art and culture seamlessly co-habit with mangroves, dolphins and turtles, the Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort is another new gem in a stunning location.
And for some fun, there’s the latest family attraction, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s biggest indoor theme parks featuring six immersive lands.
