HRH Princess Latifa Bint Saad Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurating the Jeddah event
Salon des Grandes Complications (SDGC) has become known for capturing the attention of the Middle East’s watch collectors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts. And this year, the hugely successful fine watchmaking exhibition returned to Jeddah for the third time, taking place once again alongside the annual esteemed Jewellery Salon.
After HRH Princess Latifa Bint Saad Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated the highly-anticipated event during an official ceremony on April 8, timepiece aficionados met up in the Red Sea port city and were able to admire a range of striking watches, which were showcased at the Hilton Hotel over a four-day period. On wrapping up in Jeddah, the sixth edition of SDGC moved to Riyadh’s Al Faisaliah Hotel, giving watch lovers living in the Kingdom’s capital and around the region the same opportunity.

Once HRH Prince Faisal bin Saad bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated the Riyadh event, they were able to see the newest collections, limited editions, innovative custom-made timepieces and much-appreciated classics from some of the most celebrated watchmakers in the world.

Notable brands included Blancpain, Breguet, Fabergé, Girard-Perregaux, Greubel Forsey, Harry Winston and Montblanc, while the exhibition had the support of retailers Alfardan Jewellery and Al Hussaini Trading company.

The events in both cities were held in partnership with Bentley Motors and with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Saudi Arabia. And the comfortable and friendly environment was perfect for facilitating dialogue between collectors and maisons, as well as exchanging knowledge.
