For its first store opening in Saudi Arabia, MCM has chosen the crème de la crème of fashion addresses, Jeddah’s El Khayatt Center. The move is part of an expansion plan in the region, which the luxury goods and accessories brand sees as significant. MCM already has seven boutiques and four corners in leading malls and department stores in the GCC. Worldwide, the brand that was founded in Germany currently has an impressive 500 stores in 40 countries.
“We are excited about the opening of our first store in KSA, marking an important milestone for the presence of MCM in the region, and bringing MCM closer to a very fashion savvy client. This is one of further openings to follow in the region reflecting the importance of the Middle East for MCM,” Sungjoo Kim, MCM Owner and Chairwoman, said.
The new store in the Bride of the Red Sea is situated in the luxury section of the renowned Tahliah Street centre, next to other prestigious labels. Operated by longtime franchise partner Abuissa, the boutique emphasises the Middle Eastern environment and lifestyle. The space features an extraordinary architectural dynamic and while it is deluxe, it also has an authentic feel, lending it a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Covering 150 sqm., the sales floor offers a display of MCM’s functional yet innovative pieces that are created with cutting edge techniques. The assortment comprises the current SS18 collection, as well as timeless fashion pieces. Clean lines, premium materials and luxurious details all highlight the brand’s New School Luxury reputation.
