Step into the world of Moroccan Beauty, a brand born in 2019 from the shared vision of Idriss Skalli, a proud Casablanca native with a profound passion for preserving Moroccan Heritage, and Clara Guillaume, a skincare enthusiast with a keen eye for quality. In this interview, Skalli tells us how their collaboration intertwines cultural heritage with skincare expertise, offering a range of products that not only celebrate Morocco's rich tapestry of traditions but also elevate the essence of self-care.
- What inspired you to create Moroccan skincare products with a focus on natural ingredients and healing properties?
Our range provides a simple, effective and natural skincare routine using natural, minimal, and proven ingredients sourced from renowned locations in Morocco. Our ingredients are packed with Argan oil, almond oil, Shea butter, Prickly Pear, Orange blossom, and Avocado.
Clara's skincare journey was characterised by a frustrating quest for a solution that met her needs. She experienced persistent hormonal and regular acne in the past, and had tried numerous mainstream options from well-established brands without success. We met during a trip to Morocco in 2017; I introduced her to some of the natural remedies passed down by my mother and grandmother through generations. Witnessing immediate results, she realized the potential of natural Moroccan skincare.
Recognising the significant demand for natural Moroccan products, coupled with the limited availability of trustworthy options in the market, we co-founded Moroccan Beauty in 2019. Our vision is to provide a skincare line that harmoniously merges Moroccan tradition with distinctive, natural formulas catered to all skin types.
24h Argan Day Cream
- We love that you can shop by ingredients. Which ingredients and products in your line tends to be the most popular, and what makes it stand out? Can you share some of it's benefits.
We thought it would be a great way to separate the products and raise awareness of the benefits they hold. The most popular ingredient is argan – found in both our 24H Argan day cream, and our pure argan oil. Endemic to Morocco, which is the world’s number one producer of argan oil, this precious extract offers a myriad of benefits for the skin, including deep hydration, anti-aging properties, and a soothing effect on inflammation.
Firming Prickly Pear Night Cream
Another ingredient that is very popular is prickly pear, which can be found in both Prickly pear night cream and the Moroccan Elixir. Rich in fatty acids (80%), omega-6 and 9, and the natural antioxidant vitamin E; prickly pear extracts can deeply moisturize, replenish, and protect the skin, while also promoting elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

- How do you ensure the quality and authenticity of the natural ingredients used in your skincare formulations, especially those sourced from Morocco?
We ensure a short and local supply and delivery chain with a low carbon footprint by exclusively partnering with local Moroccan suppliers to source natural products only.
The quality of our ingredients and products is guaranteed by our laboratories certified in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP certification, ISO 22716).
- Do you have any customer stories or feedback about the effectiveness of your hydration creams and wound-healing products?
Moroccan Beauty recently onboarded Insaf Bennis as global brand ambassador. Her genuine connection to her roots inspires us. She started using Moroccan beauty products over a year ago, shortly after giving birth. She had complained of dry and dehydrated skin, and that she had developed hormonal acne. After consistently using Moroccan beauty products, especially the Moroccan Elixir, YlangYlang Mask & the Vitamine E serum, she could see results in just 7 days.
Her online following has been very engaged with the brand and our products. We’ve seen nothing but positive and motivating feedback, thanks to the minimalistic routine that effectively targets very specific skin problems like acne & dryness.
