Al Maqo’i spoke to local press about how her first instinct upon seeing the crash was to aid any injured people, "I heard a loud collision and quickly ran to the scene to see if I could help anyone involved. I did the required first aid for three men who were left injured by the incident and then handed their cases over to paramedics when they arrived at the scene," she said.
The story went completely viral over the weekend with an image of the Saudi nurse administering first aid that created waves across social media just hours after the accident.
People on Twitter thanked Sarah for doing her best to help with comments including, “Our countrywomen are our pride,” and “She deserves to be honored."
