In the presence of Latin American Muslim religious leaders, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Tawfiq Abdul Aziz Al-Sudairy, inaugurated the permanent exhibition at the King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The exhibition conveys parts of the Vision 2030 reform plan, Arabic calligraphy and manuscripts, prophets and messengers and Saudi heritage.
The cultural showcase in Argentina’s objective is to educate visitors on Islamic history and civilization, as well as the Saudi state’s efforts to promote communication with different civilizations and cultures about Islam.
Al Sudairy also visited the King Fahd Mosque in Buenos Aires and was briefed by the director of the cultural center, Ali bin Awadah Al-Shamrani, about the mosque, it’s vital needs and the way in which it supports the Muslim communities in Latin America as well as the Caribbean.
The Saudi Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance stated in a speech, upon his visit, that the King Fahd Cultural Center reflects Saudi Arabia’s enthusiasm in communicating with the people of South America as well as the rest of the world to endorse tolerance and moderation within the Muslim faith. He also added, “The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance is honored to supervise Islamic and cultural centers worldwide with the aim of exporting moderate Islam, opposing extremist groups and disseminating the values of peaceful coexistence among different civilizations,” as reported by Arab News.
