Meet Turki Al Shabbanah: CEO of Rotana TV, one of the leading media networks in the region, and just recently one of the most powerful business leaders shaping the global $2 trillion entertainment industry.
He earned his bachelor degree in law from King Saud University in Riyadh, and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in international trade law from Washington University in the USA. After Al-Shabbanah finished his education, he delved into media organization management and has been in the sector since 1999.
Al-Shabanah also backed KSA's first feature, “Wadjda”, which was directed by Saudi’s first filmmaker Haifa Al- Mansour. He also is very vocal about his plans to support and back local films and filmmakers in the kingdom.
