While the vibrant city of San Francisco witnessed beautiful bright architecture between 1849 and 1915, the world wars destroyed some of homes, or left them painted in a battleship-grey color.
Flash-forward to 1963, San Francisco artist Butch Kardum began resuscitating the neighborhood with a colourful methodology, and by the time the 70s arrived, the area started looking a like real-life painting.
