Saudi's First Model Taleedah Was Nominated for an International Fashion Award

Taleedah Tamer, a name that lately has been appearing everywhere from being donned Saudi Arabia’s first Haute Couture fashion model, to gracing covers of regional magazines, and most recently the Saudi beauty was named as an emerging talent at the 2018 Fashion Awards in London.

The model, who attended the event alongside her mother, was earing a stunning white gown by Ashi Studio, a Lebanese fashion label launched over a decade ago by designer Mohammad Ashi.

Tamer at first did not believe that she was nominated as she told the news outlet that she found out about the selection only a week before the event, “At first, I questioned the reality of it all, as it was so humbling. I’m just so happy and grateful for their acknowledgement, and honored to be one of the Saudis that were nominated.”
 


Tamer is a huge name in the Saudi fashion industry, as she was the first model to walk an international runway. She opened for Antonio Grimaldi in Paris, and was featured in many fashion editorials and magazines. The stunner gets her model ways form her Italian mother who also was a model back in her day, with Armani as one of the names in her portfolio.
