Under the patronage of Prince Saud Bin Nayef, Governor of Asharqiya, and in recognition of the role of Sayidaty magazine in highlighting the creativity and innovativeness of today’s Saudi Arabian woman, particularly in light of the current period of cultural, social, and economic achievements across the Kingdom, the Sayidaty Awards for Excellence and Creativity returns for its fourth year to celebrate the successes of Saudi women in a wide range of fields.
Scheduled to be held on the 27th of January in Kempinski Al Othman Hotel in Al Khobar, Asharqiya, the award ceremony will honour 21 women for their achievements over the last year in the fields of medicine, science, education, art, culture, economics and administration, social and humanitarian work, challenging disability, and sports. During the celebration, Abouter.com will also honour four young Saudi women from its annual list of ‘20 Under 30’ for their remarkable achievements in 2018.
Since its launch in 2015, The Sayidaty Awards for Excellence and Creativity has been envisioned as a platform that provides much-needed encouragement, support, and recognition for women in Saudi society, celebrating the achievements and distinction of outstanding, leading women within their chosen field. From its inaugural venue in Riyadh, the award ceremony was held in Dubai the year after, in 2016, in celebration of women of the Emirates, and the year after that, it was held in Jeddah to honour the daughters of the Kingdom. The three previous editions of the award ceremony were a success, garnering significant regional attention and wide media coverage.
In conjunction with the award ceremony on Sunday, Sayidaty Forum returns for its second year – also at the Kempinski Hotel in Al Khobar – on the same day, Sunday, January 27, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, to address Saudi Arabian women, highlight their role in empowering the economy, and discuss their advancements within the framework of Vision 2030. Last year, Sayidaty launched its first edition of the forum entitled “Saudi Women And Vision 2030,” which discussed the contemporary realities of Saudi Arabian women within the country’s vision for its future, as well as the various obstacles they face.
Stay tuned for this year’s Sayidaty Awards for Excellence and Creativity to find out who this year’s winning personalities will be.
