Some of the best fashion minds in the world have been busy spinning their magic after descending upon the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week autumn/winter 2019-2020.
Tom Ford kicked things off with a star-studded runway featuring runway legend Mariacarla Boscono, Joan Smalls, and Gigi Hadid, who was a vision in red velvet suiting inspired by the designer’s 90s work. Then, of course, there was the gorgeous Anok Yai closing the show in a more is more silver sequinned gown.
We also loved the looks worn by Christie Brinkley and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, not to mention their ultra cute mother-daughter high-five moment as they walked together for the first time. While closing the Elie Tahari show, the former covergirl wore a green velvet blazer with matching pants and an adorned scarf, while 20-year-old Sailor rocked a black mini dress with blue embellished sleeves.
Plus, we can’t get over Bella Hadid looking like a golden goddess in a metallic glittery tea-length dress with plunging neckline, cinched waist and pleated skirt during Ralph Lauren’s breakfast show. Joan Smalls was another vision at the show in a white, open-backed jumpsuit and gold-tone modernist accessories.
Karlie Kloss at the Ralph Lauren show
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley out and about
However, there have also been some extremely stylish looks off the runway, with fashionistas stepping up their sartorial style game as they hit the after-parties, sit front row or enjoy being out and about. If you’re looking for a chic suit to wear during the day, all you need to do is see Karlie Kloss’s tailored sky blue one. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also gave us major inspo for day dressing as she joined Kloss at the Ralph Lauren show. The stunning model and actress looked sleek in a suede tan-coloured jumpsuit, which she accessorised with a chunky gold chain choker.
Poppy Delevingne and Natalia Dyer at the Noon By Noor show
Jasmine Sanders at the Fendi “Baguette” launch
Poppy Delevingne and Natalia Dyer also looked effortlessly chic in modest 70s-style ensembles at the Noon By Noor show. Delevingne wore matching polo neck top and flared trousers, while Dyer opted for a white turtleneck and black and white striped midi skirt. Additionally, Jasmine Sanders showed us the coolest way to accessorise during the Fendi “Baguette” bag launch.

For the same event, Winnie Harlow looked regal in a purple dress with floral themed trimming in gold, purple and green and billowing off-the-shoulder sleeves. Another attendee, Elsa Hosk, was the picture of elegance in a long black dress with a cut-out, which she accessorised with a gold belt. Meanwhile, fellow Victoria’s Secret model Lais Rinbeiro was stunning in a short, strapless blue velvet number with a revealing sweetheart neckline and ruffled satin cape.
