Since becoming deputy prime minister, chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs, and minister of defense, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has been making headlines across the globe and making his way into the nomination lists for prestigious awards. For instance, his drive and forward thinking placed him in the top choices in 2017 and 2018 for TIME magazine’s annual Person of the Year poll.
This year, the young leader is once again being recognized for his efforts, this time in Pakistan where he has been awarded the prize for “The Most Influential Personality of the World 2018.” According to Saudi Gazette, the prize certificate and honorary shield, which was handed by the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi to Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Islamabad Nawaf Bin Said Al-Malki, is given by the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) to the most influential personalities that have served Islam and Muslims.
