Beauty vlogging sensation Nabela Noor has been on a mission to change the beauty world by working to ensure sure women from different backgrounds can relate when they open a magazine.
And now the Bangladeshi-American has launched a new fashion line that’s all about changing mainstream thinking in the fashion sphere and boosting inclusivity and body positivity. Through Zeba, which will be producing a full clothing line, the 27-year-old digital influencer wants to guarantee different sized fashionistas find what they’re looking for. The new “community focused on self-love and body celebration” offers an extraordinarily diverse range of size options in a system that’s designed to empower.
“Zeba strives to rewrite beauty standards and reinvent the way we redefine ourselves. Our mission is to empower each and everyone of you to unapologetically love the skin you’re in,” a Zeba Instagram post explains.
Studying sociology gave Noor an understanding of social issues and social struggles, propelling her to become a campaigner for diversity, as well as representation, and help marginalised communities get heard. The “believer in kind deeds and good things” is also behind Noor House, which helps struggling families in Bangladesh.
Noor’s rise to digital fame started in 2013, when she started posting DIY make-up tutorials and product reviews. The bubbly brunette known for her colourful photos and energising take on life, not to mention those to-die-for eyebrows, has around 650,000 subscribers on YouTube and 1.2 followers on Instagram.
