Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid
Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, is currently in the UK at the annual Royal Ascot and has just celebrated a monumental win.
Making history, the UAE’s Godolphin team horse, Blue Point won double over the weekend at the formal racing event.
Blue Point made the UAE proud as the professional racing horse became the second horse to have ever won the King's Stand Stakes/Diamond Jubilee Stakes Double - since Choisir did in 2003. The Emirati royals took to social media to share images of the historical win with jockey, James Doyle, riding the Godolphin team horse.
Speaking about the five year old horse, Sheikh Mohammed said in a statement, “He is a very good horse, and after he won the King’s Stand, it was quite an easy decision to run him again. It’s a marvellous feat. Good horses give you great pleasure.”
Also in attendance at Royal Ascot with Sheikh Mohammed were British royals, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Queen Elizabeth who presented the Diamond Jubilee trophy to the Ruler of Dubai.
