PwC, a network of firms in 158 countries committed to delivering quality in assurance, advisory and tax services, has launched Hemam: Developing Future Saudi Leaders, its latest benefits initiative for Saudi nationals. The scheme’s main aim is to keep, attract and develop Saudi talents across the Kingdom and ultimately encourage them to achieve leadership positions within the firm.
In addition to the various existing development programmes, including My Way and Falcon, benefits for Saudi nationals include an added payment for travel, overdue reimbursements and bonuses to celebrate promotions and career milestones. These arrangements are in line with the company’s mission to foster the Saudi leaders of the future.
PwC, which employs 6,000 people in the region, has operated in the Kingdom for over four decades and almost half of the employees in its Saudi offices are nationals. Hemam further demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to making a positive impact on Saudi society and its workforce.
"We are committed to the growth and sustainability of our region and Saudi Arabia is at the heart of the transformation agenda. We are entering a defining decade, as we support the realisation of Saudi Vision 2030 and build trust in the countries we operate in,” Hani Ashkar, Middle East Senior Partner of the company with a mission to build trust in society and solve important problems, said. “Hemam is about more than just a benefits initiative, we are fuelling nationalisation in the Kingdom, enabling our people to be fit for the future and lead balanced lives. For us, this is a key priority for sustained growth and development for such a talent-rich market like the KSA."
Riad Al-Najjar, KSA Country Leader, said the company has always focused on investing in Saudis. “Without our people, we wouldn’t have been able to thrive, succeed and be part of the Kingdom’s transformational journey. In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and upcoming National Day, I am proud to launch this exceptional initiative, which is ultimately a celebration of our Saudi talent,” he added. Al-Najjar also said the firm would continue to invest in the Kingdom, its people and their capabilities. By drawing in and nurturing local talents, as well as “empowering them to fully take charge of their growth,” Hemam is one of the many ways PwC is impacting Saudi society, he concluded.
