Milan Fashion Week SS 2020: A Backstage Pass

See what all your favourite models got up to behind-the-scenes at one of the biggest events in the fashion calendar.

There’s been a parade of bombshells strutting down the catwalks for Milan Fashion Week’s spring/summer 2020 ready-to-wear edition. We’ve had Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber and Joan Smalls forming the dreamiest fashion army in a rainbow of pastel hues (except Joan) while closing the Max Mara show. Doutzen Kroes and Candice Swanepoel also appeared on the same star-studded runway. Plus, working alongside her A-lister model squad, Kendell Jenner took command of the sunshine-filled Fendi runway. While walking for Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi ’s first solo womenswear collection, she was in a khaki coat with mesh paneling, plus she confirmed her new blonde hairdo is not a wig.

Then there was Imaan Hammam and Yasmin Wijnaldum joining other models of the moment at Jeremy Scott’s wild and wacky play on Picasso for Moschino. Additionally, Grace Elizabeth was spotted in the same dreamy shade of blue as Bella at Alberta Ferretti’s show with a retro 70s feel. Irina Shayk also walked out in blue, although this time it was a pair of cobalt sandals with puffed, woven leather, which she wore with a black plunging dress and quilted bag for Daniel Lee’s much-anticipated second show for Bottega Veneta. Addtionally, Adut Akech Bior took to the runway in a vibrant outfit for Miuccia Prada’s show, where the 20s, 70s and 90s played a major role.
