The Middle East's First Van Cleef & Arpels Heritage Exhibition is an Enchanting and Mysterious Universe

The fabulous pieces are brimming with behind-the-scenes stories about legends like the former Iranian Empress Farah Dibah Pahlavi and Queen Nazli of Egypt.

Van Cleef & Arpels is about to hold its first heritage exhibition in the Middle East. Treasures and Legends, which showcases over a century of high jewellery, will take place from 10 to 31 October at the French maison’s boutique in Dubai Opera Plaza.

The prestigious high jewellery dynasty, known for signatures like the Mystery Set technique, the minaudière, the transformable Zip necklace and the Alhambra motif, has established its reputation across the world thanks to its truly distinctive creations. And the exhibition showcases over 50 treasures crafted with prized stones in different styles from the 20th century, ranging from the Art Deco movement to the Oriental inspirations of the 1970s. Whether looking at precious objects or exceptional orders, the exposition shows how Van Cleef & Arpels has captivated royalty, aristocrats and Hollywood stars.

Additionally, Treasures and Legends opens doors and unlocks caskets, revealing stories about the legendary women who entrusted the expert craftsmen at the maison with their fabulous and exceptional stones. Whether Queen Nazli of Egypt, the Maharani of Baroda, the Duchess of Windsor or Princess Grace of Monaco, the exhibition is brimming with personal stories about Van Cleef and Arpels muses.

“It was an unforgettable experience exploring over a century in the history of one of the most prestigious Parisian jewellery dynasties and taking the reader on a historical journey filled with stunning pieces and interesting characters from around the world. Each chapter of Treasures and Legends explores the glamorous and exotic patrons’ heirlooms, all of which are connected with a golden thread and their love of the beautiful art of Van Cleef & Arpels,” Vincent Meylan, the celebrated author of Van Cleef & Arpels Treasures and Legends, said.
