After the success of the first Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition last year, social media is abuzz with the second edition, which is kicking off on Friday in Riyadh. Taking place until October 15, the much-anticipated exposition, which is part of the one-month Riyadh Season, will be open for men and women from noon to midnight everyday along Airport Road near the Riyadh Business Front.
Organisers at the Saudi Falcons Club have said the exhibition area has been expanded this year and will be taking up nearly 36,000 square metres. The five-day event will have over 30 sections, where visitors can admire displays from 350 exhibitors from around the world. The objective is to provide the best and widest choices for local and international falconry, hunting, equestrian and wild safari enthusiasts and hobbyists. Whether it’s the sections showcasing falcons, falcon breeders or weapons, there’s so much to take in. Plus, there are those presenting hunting and desert trip requirements, as well as falcon or other veterinary supplies.
The Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, which is set to welcome a large number of officials, experts, sponsors and intellectuals, will also have a host of sideline heritage and cultural activities. These include a centre for acquainting the public with falcons and their history, a cultural theatre where poetic nights, seminars and workshops will be held, a department for plastic arts and visual shows, as well as entertainment events the whole family can enjoy.
