It’s the most highly anticipated annual event for streetwear and sneaker enthusiasts, and collectors. Sole DXB is back for its 8th edition at Dubai’s creative hub, D3 (Dubai Design District), from 5th-7th December 2019, where the latest in the region’s urban culture will be celebrated.
So what can we expect? Sole DXB is renowned for bringing to light all things fashion: clothing, footwear, accessories and more and this year’s theme spotlights Jamaica and its culture. Attendees of the 3-day festival can expect to sway to Jamaican sounds like ska, reggae and dancehall at the festival, which also brings the best of the hip hop scene to the forefront every year.
News of this year’s music line up are yet to be revealed, but if last year is anything to go by, this year will be the best yet. In 2018, sole DXB hosted performances by the likes of American rapper, Nas, and British grime artist, Skepta in 2016.
When it comes to the labels that will be bringing their latest and limited collections to the event, the main favourites, Adidas, Nike, Puma and Reebok will be exhibiting alongside emerging and underground brands.
The event isn’t all fashion and music – attendees can also watch out for the region’s most “competitive streetball tournament”, ‘Sole Ball Above All Classic,’ which is a treat for sports fans, and also the ‘Sneaker Swap’, where festival goers will have the chance to buy, sell and trade footwear from well-known collectors in the region.
Tickets to Sole DXB are now available on virginmegastore.me. Weekend passes cost AED295, while individual passes for each day can be purchased for AED245 and weekend passes for AED375 October 22 onwards.
