Dammam Airports Company has hired a new executive director and board member. The latest in a growing number of Saudi women to be appointed to high level positions in both the public and private sectors, Hind Al-Zahid has been chosen as the company’s first female Saudi Executive Director and as a member of the Executive Board
Ms. Al-Zamil’s background and experience leave her well prepared for her new role. She has served as the head of Businesswomen Center at the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2009, and the executive director of the Women Economic Forum from 2008 to 2016. She has worked to raise awareness of the increasing role of Saudi women in entrepreneurship, and contributed to the empowerment of women in the public and private sectors.
Ms. Al-Zahid’s appointment was approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in a meeting chaired by Minister of Transport and head of GACA Sulaiman Al-Hamdan.
