Voco® Hotel Riyadh is inviting fans of traditional Saudi cuisine to enjoy an array of authentic local dishes from Saudi's accomplished female chef Ward Tamim. “Saudi Evening” is taking place every Tuesday at the newly opened flagship hotel in the Kingdom, which is located on King Fahad Road.
Guests get to experience the most popular Saudi dishes at the 5-star hotel’s Horizon restaurant, open from 6.30p.m. to 11p.m. These include a selection of Arab salads, appetizers and sweets, seasoned with original flavours that reflect internationally trained Chef Ward’s in-depth knowledge of local cuisine.
With mouth-watering dishes from various regions within the Kingdom, the menu aims to reflect its depth, heritage and diversity. Girish, Kabsa, Al Harees Al Haili and Al Hanini are just some of the delectable platters guests can savour. Gorsan, Bukhari rice, Marquq and Hail Kebbeh enthusiasts won’t be left out either.
The idea was born in response to many visitors and hotel guests expressing “an interest in - and love for - the Saudi kitchen, because of the diversity of flavours and dishes,” M. Allaf, Area General Manager – InterContinental Hotels Group and Voco® Riyadh, said. He added Chef Ward provides “an exceptional dining experience, especially with her use of fresh and natural ingredients.”
The hotel, which has Indian, Italian and Lebanese eateries, as well as an international all-day dining restaurant, provides free parking for all diners. There’s also a 50 percent discount for children between six-11 years and free entry for children under six years old.
