The sun has set on Paris Fashion Week, which as usual provided some extra moments. Yolanda Hadid and Rita Ora made a splash with their surprise appearances on the Off-White and Miu Miu runways, and there was an apocalypse at the Balmain show. Other talked-about highlights in the City of Light included Bella Hadid as a sword-wielding bride in a dramatic sheer lace Vivienne Westwood gown and Kaia Gerber making the Givenchy runway her own in a billowing red caped dress. Plus, of course, there was the Chanel on ice show, where Gigi Hadid walked hand in hand with two fellow models in bouclé crop top and shorts, Chanel logo tights and pirate boots.
Since many consider Paris the most important of the fashion hubs, the French capital probably draws the most celebrities, meaning the front row also always brings the wattage. As expected, lots of A-listers caused heads to shift from the autumn/winter 2020 runways to the best seats in the house where there seemed to be just as many memorable sartorial moments. And while nailing their fashionista statuses, many of our favourite celebrities were spotted wearing standout trouser looks.
At Balmain, Virginie Ledoyen looked super cute in Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Classic Blue, including a matching fringed bag, while Cindy Bruna rocked a white figure-hugging flared jumpsuit with sheer detail. Another A-lister to flaunt her passion for fashion in a jumpsuit was Noomi Rapace. The Swedish brunette stunned in a knockout grey plaid jumpsuit while attending Givenchy’s show. She accessorised the one-piece with a pair of white platform heels and belt. Plus, Caroline Daur confirmed the ankle tie-trouser trend is still hot at the Chloé show. The German fashion reference paired her striped trousers with a cream shirt, sparkly belt and green bag.
For inspiration to get heads turning during a lunch appointment, check out Camila Coelho and Kate Bosworth, who were also at Chloé. While Coelho, a Brazilian influencer, went for a grey suit and white peek-a-boo top, Bosworth was a power dressing vision in a belted tweed suit. Maisie Williams’s stylishly frayed pastel suit is another winner. The Game of Thrones actress wore it with a corset, pinstripe tie, matching pointed mules and a boxy bag.
Meanwhile, Farida Khelfa’s black trousers and golden ruffled top look are perfect for a night out. The French-Algerian former model-turned-filmmaker dazzled at the Saint Laurent show. While at Givenchy, Abigail Spencer’s sheer black lace top with a short cape, black dress trousers and black heels also gave us night out inspo. Which one is your favourite?
