A pandemic disease causing international outcry, countries have taken several measures to contain the virus as much as possible. Here are some of the ways Saudi Arabia is combatting the spread of coronavirus disease.
1. Education is now online
Schools and universities are switching to online classes for the foreseeable future.

2. A $10 million donation to WHO
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has granted $10 million in financial support to the World Health Organization (WHO) to fight coronavirus.
“Saudi Arabia and WHO are working together to combat novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and in support of this effort, the Kingdom has provided $10 million to WHO in order to implement urgent measures to minimize the spread of the disease and to support countries with vulnerable health infrastructures,” he said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
3. KSRelief is assisting China with medical equipment
Saudi Arabia signed 6 contracts to medically assist China as it combat coronavirus. On the orders of King Salman and through #KSRelief, the latest aid batch included 60 ultrasound machines, 20 noninvasive ventilators, 89 defibrillators, 500 injection pumps & 3 dialysis devices. pic.twitter.com/E4EuFp0H3h

4. Cinemas have closed until further notice
Saudi Arabia announced this week that it would close cinemas until further notice over coronavirus concerns.
