Testing for coronavirus is now quicker, easier, and more accessible with Abu Dhabi’s brand new mobile COVID-19 Test Center launched by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). Located in the capital’s Zayed Sports City, the “drive through” test center is the most efficient testing facility we’ve seen so far. The facility can provide testing to a maximum of 600 people per day, it takes 5 minutes to do it, and results are delivered as people wait in their cars. Talk about conveniency!

Abu Dhabi’s media office took to social media to share the opening of the test centre, captioning “Operating from 8am-8pm daily with 4 vehicle lanes, tests take just 5 minutes and the facility has capacity to conduct 600 tests per day. Appointments must be made before visiting by calling Istijaba Centre on 8001717.”
In order to be eligible to test for the virus, the patient will have to contact Istijaba on 8001717 to book an appointment for a pre-assessment screening which entails a list of questions about the patient’s health and any symptoms which will determine whether they can get the fast-track test.
The test center prioritizes and doesn’t charge symptomatic individuals, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases. People who wish to have the test to ensure they haven’t contracted the novel coronavirus will pay a testing fee of AED370.
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, SEHA is proud to launch the country’s first drive-through testing facility for COVID-19.
