Day to day, world governments are coming up day to day with new ways to contain the coronavirus outbreak as much as possible.
After Abu Dhabi saw its first drive through testing center, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, announced this week that Dubai would also be opening a test center, which would serve as a specialized center for infectious diseases and pandemics.

The upcoming facility will be called “The Disease and Epidemic Control Center” and will be led by Dr. Amir Ahmed Al Sharif alongside other members of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Healthcare Foundation at Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai Data Establishment, Health Regulatory Sector at DHA and Health Regulatory Sector at Dubai Healthcare City Authority.

Dubai’s new medical center aims to oversee and mitigate pandemics with COVID-19 being its current focus. As well as strategizing plans to eradicate such infectious viruses, the Disease and Epidemic Control Center will also look to develop fast response plans in collaboration with public and private sector companies and organizations to protect the public from current and future pandemics.

Abu Dhabi's COVID-19 Test Center can test up to 600 people per day for the novel coronavirus. The country’s first ever drive-through center only takes 5 minutes for the fast-track test and people will have results delivered to their cars.
