Dolce & Gabbana’s Latest Initiative Supports More Research Against COVID-19

It’s a real insight into Italian handmade craft traditions….

Following “Fatto a mano”, Dolce & Gabbana has introduced “Fatto in casa”, another initiative that draws in fashion lovers who want to up that creative ante. Translated to “Made at home”, it’s a project that takes us behind the scenes at the Milanese fashion house. Fans of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s creations can have a unique chance to see the work that goes on at workshops and ateliers to make those gorgeous Made in Italy pieces.

The series of digital workshops includes video tutorials featuring artisans, designers and friends of the design duo. Additionally, a number of celebrities are set to take part. They invite us into their homes to share their skills and know-how, whether it’s the art of embroidery, crochet, cooking, dance and so much more, and to pass on ideas and suggestions.

#DGFattoInCasa is a part of Dolce & Gabbana’s continuous efforts to provide solidarity, support and a bit of escapism during this difficult period. The project will contribute to the luxury brand’s fundraising efforts in support of Fondazione Humanitas Per La Ricerca and is part of its Amore For Scientific Research project with Humanitas University.

The initiative backs the critical research that sheds light on the responses of the human immune system to Covid-19. Dolce & Gabbana, which vowed to donate a percentage of the sales of their Devotion bag to the association, is calling on people to contribute to the fund raising via crowdfunding platform For Funding. As it is run by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, which doesn’t take any commission, all the money that’s donated goes directly to the research project.
