King Salman issued a royal decree on Monday, which calls for the appointment of 156 men and women with the rank of investigative lieutenant to Saudi Arabia’s Public Prosecution.
This decision falls under the King’s support of the Public Prosecution and pushes for more stability and prosperity within public judicial system, according to Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mua’jab.

Al-Mua’jab also perceive the judicial move as a “great prestige and status of women” in enabling them to work in the judicial field.
This is a yet another step the Kingdom takes to enhance women’s position and involvement in society, an ultimate that’s under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
This is not the first time this milestone is achieved, in 2019, Saudi Arabia also appointed 50 qualified women as public prosecutors, upon their completion of a 1-year diploma in criminology. Read more about it here.
