Premiering on the streaming platform we all know and love as Netflix, Saudi Arabian original, Whispers is finally here... The 8-episode limited series features strong female leads whilst exploring social issues that aren’t widely addressed within the Arab region. The suspenseful drama series is the first Arabic licensed original on Netflix and will be available to stream by 183 million viewers all over the world.

Whispers’ narrative follows a feuding family who are dealing with the fall out of the unanticipated death of a male elder, and are investigating his mysterious past. Each episode is conveyed through the eyes of a different character in the family, except one, creates gripping suspense. Every member of the family holds secrets they don’t want to share, whilst every episode constantly reveals new information.
Directed by Hana Alomair, and produced by the Saudi Entertainment Phenomena Company “EP Saudi” Whispers champions an emerging cast of Saudi creatives, and highlights an international spotlight on a fast-growing pool of regional talent, from seasoned star Abdul Mohsen Alnimer to newcomers Elham Ali, Shaimaa Al-Fadl, Mysoon Alruwaily, Nada Tawhid, Norah Alanbar, and Leila Arabi.
2020 has so far, been a great year for Arab titles on Netflix as the platform continues to expand the genre in a bid to capture audiences from the region with a plethora of Arab movies and TV shows.
