Congrats! Dr. Arwa Althagafi just became vice president of innovation at Taibah Valley.
Before earning this top post, Althagafi has been training for two year Saudi women and girls in Madinah in the fields of programming, Internet of things and artificial intelligence. “With each new stage comes new challenges. I hope to continue to show my creativity with the team at Taibah Valley and contribute to making Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah a beacon of innovation in emerging technologies, God willing,” Althagafi tweeted.
The tech expert also excelled in university; during her studies in information systems and computer science at the University of Sheffield in the U.K, Althagafi coupled her study time with work as an enterprise resource planning specialist.
She then kicked off her career at Taibah Valley as an IoT lab director and took part in many career-defining conferences on AI, Sot, and blockchain such as the Saudi Emerging Technologies Forum in 2019 and the IEEE Global Conference on the Internet of Things in 2019.
These Saudi women have just earned themselves a spot in Forbes magazine for their trailblazing work in AI. https://t.co/St0gAytehp
