If you live in Dubai and are getting a little bored with the whole low altitude sea level thing, we’ve got just the right staycation idea for you. We’re talking about JA Hatta Fort Hotel, the emirate’s only mountain resort, which has recently re-opened while following a full safety and sanitization programme.
As well as being the ultimate escape for privacy lovers, a short and sweet stay at the secluded getaway amidst the majestic Hajar Mountains ensures you are safely social distancing, while getting a daily dose of nature. It also allows you to gain from the benefits of being at a higher altitude. These include zapping stress, promoting sleep, giving your lungs the chance to breathe in cleaner, fresher air and promoting physical activity.
The boutique property, a mere 90-minute scenic drive from central Dubai, features just 53 deluxe rooms and villas, which are now operational and ready to receive visitors. The resort’s Jeema and Café Gazebo eateries have also started serving a range of homely international cuisine.
Guests have the choice of relaxing by two outdoor chilled pools or getting involved in several outdoor activities, including crazy golf, tennis, archery, rifle shooting or visiting the shaded mini zoo to see the new baby deer, goats, peacocks and tortoises. Local attractions such as kayaking and pedal-boat rides at Hatta Dam and a visit to the honeybee farm are also open to visitors.
Additionally, to celebrate its re-opening, JA Hatta Fort Hotel is offering free archery lessons to children every day, from 6-7p.m. throughout the summer months. Kids Movie Nights, accompanied by complimentary snacks, is another charge-free activity for the little ones to enjoy. Meanwhile, parents get to relax with a drink or two and some nibbles.
Like all the properties within the JA Resorts & Hotels portfolio, JA Hatta Fort Hotel’s safety and sanitization programme includes government directives and the protocols of the World Travel & Tourism Councils #SafeTravels initiative.
