As the heiress to the Austrian crystal empire, Victoria Swarovski’s stunning wedding dress by Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco was naturally glittering from head to toe (with 500,000 of the family’s jewels).
Victoria Swarovski married Warner Mürz, her long-time boyfriend, in the kind of dazzling three-day affair we can only expect for the heiress to the Austrian company that produces our favourite glittering crystals. The couple, which met in 2010, chose to say yes in the beachside town of Trieste, Italy, in front of 250 of their closest family and friends.
During those three magical days in the Italian sun, Victoria lived up to expectations with her divine family jewel-embellished dresses. The 23-year-old, who is also a famous singer in Austria (she sang the German version of the theme song to “The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader” and won the German version of “Dancing With The Stars” in 2016), donned three Michael Cinco designs during the weekend’s festivities. Needless to say, the Dubai-based designer isn’t a stranger to celebrity dressing; he has created gowns for fans like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
The Wedding Dress
For the day of her nuptials to Mürz, a property investor who is believed to be in his 40s, Victoria chose a stunning princess-style ballgown. The marvel was of course encrusted with Swarovski crystals, 500,000 of them! With that kind of adornment, it doesn’t come as surprise that the dress weighed 46 kilos. The gown, which is rumoured to come with a price tag exceeding £700,000, also came embellished with paillete and laser-cut flowers. Featuring a sheer bodice, lace and tulle skirt, the dress is a custom version of a Michael Cinco spring/summer 2016 dress, and it has been reported Victoria helped with the design. According to Cinco, the look, which could have come out of a fairytale book, was complete with a six-metre long train. The pretty blonde also offset her dress with an eight-metre veil, diamond-encrusted semi-hoop earrings and some ivory monogrammed Jimmy Choo heels.
The Parties
The night before the couple said their vows in the Cathedral of San Giusto, guests were treated to a “Pasta and Love’ welcome dinner at The Piazetta, part of the Falisia Resort and Spa. The red and white themed party called for the women to wear scarlet, and this is when Victoria opted to wear her second dress by the Filipino designer. The vibrant red salsa dancer-like creation was uber glamorous, and of course, crystal-embellished. On the big day, the newlyweds celebrated with their loved ones in the same five-star resort during a sumptuous alfresco dinner with sea views at Maxi’s restaurant. The guests watched the sun go down, witnessed the loved up couple cutting their towering five-tier wedding cake and a spectacular fireworks display. For the reception and to dance the night away, the bride changed into her third Michael Cinco dress. She even indulged her guests with a song in the slinky, strapless white sensation, frosted with the expected Swarovski crystals. Before heading off to St Tropez for their honeymoon, the newlyweds held a farewell brunch, where everyone sat surrounded by herb trees trimmed into the shape of hearts. There’s no reason to ask why Victoria described herself as the “happiest girl ever...”on Instagram while posing on a yacht!
