International Stars Sang Their Heart Out For Beirut

Entitled, “The Sound of Beirut,” regional and international artists including Craig David, French Montana, Bebe Rexha, Maya Diab, Ragheb Alama, Mishaal, Balqees and Souad Massi, just to name a few, performed over 2 hours of their music at the virtual concert and expressed their support for Lebanon and Beirut.

The Lebanese streaming app, Anghami, hosted the virtual concert, following their continuous work to raise funds for the city of Beirut since the blast took place, including sharing links to NGOs.  

Eddy Maroun, chief executive and co-founder of Anghami, said in a statement, “We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters impacted so heavily by this tragic explosion. I would like to thank Sony Music, all the artists, and our partners involved in this important fundraising initiative. Anghami’s star studded virtual concert was free for people to enjoy, with the option for viewers to donate on the events page. All funds raised were donated to the Global Aid for Lebanon campaign in conjunction with the UN’s World Food Program.
