From Billie Eilish winning three awards to Post Malone taking home a grand total of nine, including Artist of the Year, the October 14 Billboard Music Awards event was packed with high energy entertainment. And that includes all the chart-topping songbirds like Alicia Keys, Sia and Demi Lovato giving it their all on the stage at LA’s Dolby Theatre. Oh, yes, and there was a sweet moment too thanks to John Legend. The veteran R&B singer dedicated his emotional performance of “Never Break” to wife Chrissy, who had a miscarriage late last month.
And as usual the A-list musicians also gave us lots to talk about when it came to all their head-turning fashion statements. After an awards delay because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they made sure this year’s show was really worth the wait with their fashion-forward choices, despite the fact the event wasn’t on the same scale we’re used to.
Sparkling Sensations
Kelly Clarkson, who hosted the show for the third year in a row, was all about the drama with her outfits (yes, she really did wear seven). The star known for her versatility and dynamic vocal range looked particularly radiant in a silver sequinned gown with fringe details along the hemline and sleeves and a sparkly golden ruched number that oozed goddess vibes.

Alicia Keys, who is celebrating the recent release of her newest album, “Alicia,” also bedazzled. The artist stunned in a lustrous shimmer champagne bodysuit, which was paired with silver sling-back pointed-toe heels.
Meanwhile, “Queen of Percussion” and presenter Sheila E. took gold sequins to another level in a trouser look with standout sleeves.
Chic in Black
Nicole Richie went all-out and scintillated in a revealing black semi-sheer ballgown. The one-shoulder dress featured two-pieces attached via floral embellishments and a tulle bottom.
Addison Rae, who presented Harry Styles’ award and then accepted it on his behalf, also chose to step out in black, twice. One of the looks from the Tik Tok sensation and Kourtney Kardashian’s BFF involved a crepe bustier matched with dunettine silk trousers and long opera gloves, while the other was a strapless peekaboo dress with sheer panels and a cut-out detail that emphasised her cleavage.

Plus, Lizzo picked up her Top Song Sales Artist award in a one-shoulder mini LBD emblazoned with VOTE all over it and dancer Allison Holker rocked a tuxedo dress with a lace and fringe-decorated skirt , accessorised with black suede heels.
