The sherpa of Youth 20 (Y20), Sarah Alkhedheiri, heads on of the eight independent engagement groups of the G20. The Y20 is centered around the youth and amplifies their voices as it represents them in their respective G20 countries.
Alkhedheiri is currently a graduate student of social and public policy at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science. During her time at the Misk Foundation, the Saudi female leader worked as a senior initiatives manager for the Misk Global Forum where she focused on global citizenship.

Previously, AlKhedheiri was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where she built her expertise in both the private and public sector. Armed with a BA in political science and international affairs from Northeastern University in Boston, the brilliant young woman was also a member of the Global Shapers Community and the Riyadh Hub from 2017 to 2018.
The successful three-day virtual summit of the Y20 engagement group tackled key themes closed off on a powerful note calling for economies to continue empowering the youth.
According to Arab News, Alkhedheiri said that “Nobody becomes a global citizen — we are already global citizens. Take action, and start where you are with what you have” in order to become a “community of active global citizens.”
