More often than not, news about world leaders and royals spreads like wildfire and we might be a little late to the party with this one as last month, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates joined one of the fast growing social media platforms, TikTok, in a bid to create positive Arab content.

On December 19th 2020, Dubai’s ruler announced that he had officially joined TikTok, tweeting, “I officially joined TikTok, the fastest growing platform with more than 800 million users. We want to be where people are. We want to create positive Arabic content and we want to listen to young people and share our stories with them.”
