Since the start of the pandemic last year, many of us have been rather apprehensive about going to cinemas or being within proximity of people outside of our family bubbles, but with the UAE’s drive to have its citizens and residents stay committed to the strict social distancing regulations, there is a new way for us to enjoy going to the pictures in Dubai…
All the while it doesn’t snow in the UAE, Ski Dubai offers an “on the slopes” experience and has just partnered up with Vox Cinemas to create a like-no-other movie experience. The Snow Cinema boasts large comfy seats with cosy blankets and a snowy backdrop. The snowy cinematic experience comes with rental clothing and accessories to make watching a movie more than comfortable, such as socks, boots, fleece gloves, hats, blanket, headphones and a locker for your belongings.
Since no movie is complete without snacks and beverages, cinema goers can indulge in a luxury hot chocolate from Mirzam Chocolate Makers, and of course, popcorn amongst other meals such as burgers and hotdogs, baby potatoes with raclette cheese, mince pies, gingerbread pancakes and more bites served at your seat.
The indoor snow resort’s cinema offers 5 screenings per day with the schedule and movies changing weekly and all the movies are family friendly, showing our favourites including, Jumanji, The Witches, Honest Thief, The Croods and Bigfoot 2.

Tickets to the Snow Cinema start at 100AED per person, which includes the movie, signature hot chocolate, popcorn and a bottle of water.
For larger groups, the resort also offers a VIP Chalet which can host 4 people for 800AED including a ‘cinemate’ ticket for each guest, two-course meal from North 28 Restaurant, a hand warmer, premium gloves, a signature hot chocolate, popcorn and a bottle of water.
