From the iconic and world-famous venue, the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the city will host a free online concert from the building’s helipad and David Guetta will be headlining. Taking place on 6th February 2021, the French born DJ will be spinning hits against a stunning Dubai sunset and firework displays.
The concert is all for a charitable cause; DJ David Guetta hopes to raise funds towards supporting UNICEF and Dubai Cares’ Education Uninterrupted campaign, which is a nationwide fundraising campaign for the education of children and youth in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Guetta, whose father has a Moroccan heritage, said in a statement about the upcoming concert, “After Miami, New York and the Louvre in Paris, I am very proud to announce that we’re heading to the top of the iconic Burj Al-Arab Jumeirah for another United At Home show, this time in a city that is dear to my heart: Dubai.”
So far, Guetta’s charitable efforts have raised over $1.6million, “Thanks to my fans across the globe. In these difficult times, we hope to bring comfort, joy, and support through the power of music and emotions. We have supported many charities and helped make a real difference in people’s lives during the pandemic. We continue in this direction today, benefiting UNICEF and Dubai Cares,” he said.
The concert at the Burj Al Arab will be streamed on Guetta’s YouTube channel, and will take place at 5 p.m. (Saudi Arabia time).
