Congratulations to Reema Al-Asmari who joined BNP Paribas as head of territory for Saudi Arabia. Her recent appointment confirms BNP’s corporate and institutional banking presence in the Kingdom. Al Asmari’s job description includes overseeing the bank’s national commercial strategy focused on strengthening relationships with strategic clients and stakeholders. The Saudi female trailblazers also plans to expand the bank’s product and service portfolio in all CIB segments, including sustainable finance.
According to Arab News, Al-Asmari joined BNP Paribas from Natixis, where she held the position of CEO for Saudi Arabia.
Al-Asmari spoke about her new appointment saying: “I am honored to join BNP Paribas with the mission to grow the bank’s presence here in Saudi Arabia. As a dynamic bank which continues to evolve alongside Saudi’s ever-changing business environment, I am enthusiastic about the opportunities to build upon its current success.”

Al-Asmari is replacing from Jean-Francois Sibille, who will be taking over head of compliance for BNP Paribas Middle East and Africa.
The Saudi female banker will be working alongside Ammar Pharaon, the head of BNP Paribas Regional Investment Company (BRIC), also located in Riyadh.
