Not that we knew that supermodel Naomi Campbell was even expecting, she took to social media on the 18th of May 2021 to announce the arrival of her baby girl. On Instagram, the iconic fashion star posted a warming image of her holding her new baby’s tiny feet, with the caption, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”
Clearly the model’s decision to have a child surprised her millions of fans, and peers, who commented on the post to congratulate her, including designer Marc Jacobs who wrote, “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible! How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around,” and fellow supermodel, Helena Christensen, who also wrote, “So so happy for you my friend, I knew you would be a mama someday,” followed by heart emojis. Other celebrities who congratulated Campbell on her social media post included, Eva Herzigova, Kate Hudson, Vanessa Bryant, Linda Evangelista, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Kelly Rowland and MANY more!
Naomi Campbell’s personal life had always been scrutinized in the media, and had remained private about many of her personal affairs, more recently her pregnancy. It’s uncertain whether the model, now 50, employed a surrogate or adopted a baby, but she had previously told a British publication in 2017, “I think about having children all the time…. But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want.”
