Anthropologie, the US label known for its bohemian wear and eclectic home décor, opened its doors in the UAE for the first time on the 27th of May. The premium lifestyle brand landed in Dubai Mall, and oh are we excited! Targeted at the creative, eclectic, 30-something year old and above, the brand appeals to the ones who stand out from the masses. Anthropologie collaborates with local designers in each location they are in connecting with the creative community.
“We are excited to be opening our first store in the UAE. Art and creativity occupy an important role at Anthropologie. It serves as a foundation for the brand, informing everything from buying and design, through to visual display. Coming to a vibrant city like Dubai feels like a natural fit. Our signature style and individuality appeals to the Emirati customer, so it seems an obvious next step to be expanding our store portfolio into the UAE,” said Matt Hilgeman, Managing Director of Anthropologie International.
The Dubai Mall store will feature a selection of pieces available only in the UAE, including items they’re best known for such as a range of silk embroidered unique headbands in different collections such as Deepa and Kachel Silk, as well as accessories from global brands such as Blossom Box and Aria Silk. Anthropologie will also bring a selection of bohemian and colorful pieces of jewelry by Deepa Gurnani and gold earrings by Amanda Soul, as well as artistic earrings by Sibilia.
Making its way into the city in time for Dubai’s sweltering summer, the multi-brand store will also be stocking a wide range of eyewear by Karen Walker and DMY by DMY. Boho embellished/ sustainable bags, clutches, hats, and shoes from brands such as Amanda Medrado, romualda, and Santi will also be available to shop to elevate your summer style.
The store officially opens to the public on Friday 28th May 2021 from 3:30pm for an exclusive event where there will be entertainment and activations on-ground, as well as exclusive promotions, ensuring an adventure for anyone that walks in.
Founded in 1992, Pennsylvania, USA, by current URBN chairman and president Dick Hayne, Anthropologie was named after his college major (with a decidedly French twist). With over 200 stores worldwide, Anthropologie evolved into a leading one-of-a-kind destination for those seeking a curated mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor to reflect their personal style.
