HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, took to Instagram and Twitter to share a heartwarming snap of his twin babies, Rashid and Sheikha, with their grandfather HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan posted the touching family photograph on social media, with the caption “God protect them.” The Crown Prince of Dubai has a combined following of over 16 million on Instagram and Twitter and has amassed more than 64,000 likes and more than 14,000 comments on the picture.
His twins, a baby boy Rashid and baby girl Sheikha, were born last month, with his wife, Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed receiving letters of congratulations from all around the country as the Sheikh Hamdan made a grand announcement to his followers on his social platforms. To announce the arrival of his twins, the Dubai Crown Prince, posted an image of a pair of small pink and blue feet to express his excitement.
The names Rashid and Sheikha are inspired by their family, Rashid means, “rightly guided,” and is named after Sheikh Hamdan’s late grandfather, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Sheikha means, “princess,” and shares her name with her mother.
Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikha Sheikha married in May 2019, and it was a shared celebration and marriage as two of the Crown Prince’s brothers, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed, were also married on the same day.
