The Ministry of Sports announced the launch of the Fakhr Program Initiative this week. The new venture organized by the Saudi Arabian Paralympic Committee and falls under the Quality of Life Program, which aims to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals.

The Fakhr Program initiative is based on assisting people with special needs, developing their sporting abilities, improving their quality of life, boosting presence in sports activities, and increasing global exposure on international levels.
The program will last a full year and will include providing Saudi participants with health and physical rehabilitation services, as well as training in one of four sports fields that best suit their abilities.

Shooting, weightlifting, basketball, and athletics are among the sports offered, as well as prosthetic limbs and sports chairs for participants. Three local and international camps are also in the works for 350 Saudis are being organized as part of the program.
