Anghami is an Arab music streaming platform that is taking music and entertainment to a new level, especially for the musicians the app features music by. Announcing the launch of an innovative entertainment venue, Anghami has just unveiled “Anghami Lab,” with its first destination being Dubai, with plans to open other venues in Riyadh, Jeddah, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, and even more across London, Los Angeles and New York.
Anghami Lab looks to merge online and offline entertainment, and has collaborated with Addmind, the region’s market leader in hospitality, to launch the new concept in Dubai which is expected to open to the public by early 2022.
The venue will feature a stage, lounge and studio where musicians and entertainers can perfect their arts by co-creating music and collaborating on projects that are inspired by both Arabic and international cultures to be performed in the venue. The music will then subsequently be released exclusively on the Anghami platform.
The Anghami app offers licensed content and music from prominent Arab labels and distributors, along with music from international labels, including Sony, Universal and Warner and the service is available in Arabic, English and French. Anghami currently has 70 million users and more than 57 million songs available to stream.
Eddy Maroun, co-founder and CEO of Anghami said in a statement about the new venue, “We are excited to partner with Addmind to create this unique, transformational experience for our users. Addmind is a leading expert in conceptualizing and operating hospitality spaces, and this is a great opportunity to further reinforce the value we provide digitally to be converged offline in a unique user-to-guest experience.”
Whilst CEO of Addmind, Tony Habre, added, “Anghami is more than just a streaming platform, they have elevated the value of the music industry in the Middle East as a whole – Anghami Lab is an amazing and unique concept that embodies our rich Arab culture with an international twist – which we are thrilled to bring to fruition and scale.”
