Kylie Jenner expands her entrepreneurial portfolio and the last time we heard about what she was up to, it was skincare for babies, and there is more still… From beauty and skincare to swimwear, as the self-made billionaire creates a line inspired by her own tastes in poolside attire.
Jenner revealed her new swimwear label just last week, on August 17th, in an Instagram post from a new social media profile, @kylieswim, with an image of herself in a cut out pink and yellow one piece, with the caption “coming soon…”
The new profile has already amassed over 615,000 followers and counting – we predict there will be around 1 million by the end of this week! Though the brand’s official launch date hasn’t been announced, the Kylie Cosmetics founder has shared other posts of Polaroid images and a video of models dressed in risqué pink, yellow and orange bathing suits in one-piece and bikini styles.
In May 2021, WWD had reported that Kylie had filed trademark requests for “Kylie Swim” and “Kylie Swim by Kylie Jenner” for apparel items such as “swimwear, beach cover-ups, headwear, tops, bottoms, footwear and robes,” as well as beach and swim accessories such as sunglasses, towels, outdoor blankets, beach bags amongst other pieces.
The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie’s business portfolio is looking rather impressive. From launching Kylie Cosmetics in 2015, starting with just lip-kits, she has expanded the brand to all other makeup categories, including eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, highlighters and more, and launched a skincare brand, Kylie Skin, in 2019.
In November 2019, Kylie Jenner became one of the youngest self-made billionaires, when she signed a deal with beauty conglomerate, Coty Inc., who purchased a 51% majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics for a cool $600 million USD – valuing the brand at $1.2 billion. In July 2021, Kylie rebranded and remixed her formulas to make them vegan and eco-friendly.
