Dubai is the city in which nothing is impossible. From the tallest skyscrapers and futuristic museums to the largest shopping malls, there is nothing that Dubai can’t make possible. Enter: Ain Dubai, the record-breaking observation wheel.
Ain Dubai is Dubai’s newest attraction that has been under construction for quite some time and will be ready to welcome visitors in October 2021. Construction of the highly anticipated attraction had first begun in 2015, and will welcome visitors from the 21st of October just after the opening of Expo 2020 and just before the UAE’s “Year of the 50th.”
The world’s biggest observation wheel is on Bluewaters Island, and stands at a whopping 250meters tall exceeding Las Vegas’s High Roller at 167m and the London Eye at 135m.
General Manager of Ain Dubai, Ronald Drake said in a statement, “Ain Dubai offers first-of-its-kind experiences catering to all audiences including luxurious special event cabins; nightlife and party experiences; unique dining and culinary options; family-friendly cabins and customisable romantic experiences for special moments. We are the ultimate celebration destination, so it was only fitting that we celebrate the opening in style. Stay tuned for more exciting details of what to expect from our grand opening, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Ain Dubai.”
So what can we expect from a visit to Ain Dubai?
Dubai is breathtaking enough from the ground but imagine being 250 meters above ground and able to have a 360 degree view of some of the city’s most iconic attractions. From the JBR skyline, the Palm Jumeirah, and Bluewaters Island, to the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Marina.
There are 48 cabins on the observation wheel that rotate splitup into three sections: Private Cabins, Observation Cabins, and Social Cabins. The Private Cabin is only for those who wish to celebrate an occasion or host an event with a personal touch, whilst the Observation Cabin simply offers the breathtaking views of Dubai’s cityscape, and the Social Cabins come with a VIP lounge access.
The cabins can hold well over 1000 people! It could well become the place to host a wedding or a party with no options to leave when you want to. All cabins are double glazed, air-conditioned and built to carry up to 1750 people at a time. A standard cabin can allow a maximum of 40 guests, but the number will be reduced to seven or 10 from the same group, under Covid-19 safety guidelines.
Tickets for Ain Dubai can be purchased on the official website with those for adults priced at AED 130, and for children aged between 3 and 12 years, at AED 100.
