Dubai’s arts and culture industry is burgeoning with talent, and for those trying to make it on the scene, Dubai’s culture authority has announced that creative talents (artists, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs) can now register to apply for a long-term cultural visa in the Al Quoz Creative Zone.
It was first launched in 2019 by the ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed, and is the first long-term cultural visa in the world, and was put into play with a view for Dubai to become an arts and culture destination and creative hub full of talent, on a global scale.
The visa allows for creatives to be able to live and work in Dubai, whilst also providing them with relevant opportunities in order for them to succeed in their respective fields.
The initiative is helmed by the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, HH Sheikha Latifa, and falls into place with Dubai Culture authority to preserve, encourage and support the creative talents of those residing in the UAE, whilst also being able to attract creatives from all over the world.
Sheikha Latifa is in charge of overseeing the project and working towards achieving its strategic objectives of supporting the artistic community and industries in the emirate while providing a pioneering environment that will further develop the creative sector.
Dubai Culture works alongside its relevant partners in order to provide an integrated environment for talents in the Al Quoz Creative Zone, which will provide creatives access to the resources they need to develop and evolve their work.
