Get interactive and immerse yourself in the heritage and culture of this museum in Dubai as the Al Shindagha Museum is now open for exploration with an immersive touch. The museum’s new interactive experiences coincide with the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai with a view to educate residents and visitors about Dubai’s culture and history.
The immersive experiences are set up in partnership with Secret City Trails, and is referred to as “Dubai Cultural Treasures Discovery Trails” which consists of puzzles, stories about the UAE’s history and culture, and riddles for users as they walk through the Al Shindagha Neighborhood. The experiences also quiz visitors about the area and helps them to explore previously unexplored parts of the old town.
Users can access the trail from their smartphones and can either use it alone or share it with 5 other people.
Project manager at the Museums Department at Dubai Culture, Maryam Mudhaffar Ahli, said in a statement, “At Dubai Culture, we are keen to engage with the public through exploring the rich cultural stories that Dubai holds among its neighborhoods by stimulating the active participation of the general public and activating partnerships with the public and private sectors. As the Authority is the Official Culture Supporter of Expo 2020 Dubai, this initiative comes within the interactive events and activities that we have prepared to enrich the experience of Expo visitors in line with our vision to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global center for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.”
