Isabel Marant is the highly coveted French brand best known for its laid-back Parisian aesthetic with a romantic, bohemian edge. Isabel Marant designs clothes she would want to wear herself. The label is the ultimate go-to for chunky sweatshirts, ruffled mini skirts and dresses, suede ankle boots and the infamous wedge sneakers.
Bringing all that style and more to Dubai, Isabel Marant now has a flagship at the city’s Mall of the Emirates. Located on the first floor, Isabel Marant’s 102 square meter space offers a unique design aesthetic – drawing inspiration from the 1970s. A 10-meter high facade with 3D reliefs and an entrance door accessorized with an Isabel Marant signature handle reveal a women’s wardrobe arranged in a light and singular universe.
Mirroring the artful sophistication and pioneering spirit that defines the French designer’s aesthetic, this concept has been developed by Marant’s studio in close interaction with a group of local talented young designers and artisans all sharing the same passion for contrasts, happy tensions and subtle imperfection creating a specific approach of an intimate luxury - a luxury that is personal.
Capturing the zeitgeist, in a creative and joyful spirit, Isabel plays with the space as the she would play with her own clothes. Cutting out patches from the ceiling – as if they were dress patterns – or carving a wall with the shape of her iconic 90° earrings. Everything rolls, everything flows.
Having founded her label in ’94, she instantly became renowned for her pioneering and cosmopolitan spirit bringing self-affirmation and feel good effect to her dégaine. To do so, ever since her launch, she has been trying on each garment before it leaves her studio to ensure everything works in the everyday life of a real woman.
The designer, who opened her first boutique in Paris in the late nineties, will now have 61 stores open across the globe. This new Dubai based location will house the main line, a selection of the casual Isabel Marant Etoile collection, and her line of handbags and shoes.
The boutique is open all week from 10am-12am on Thursday-Saturday and from 10am-10pm on Sunday-Wednesday.
