There had been whispers churning through the rumor mills for some time and it was just a matter of timing when it came to Dubai getting its very own fabulous franchise.
We’ve all been watching The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives Of New York, Salt Lake City and Miami amongst a number of other American cities in which there are a group of women being followed by cameras to catch their glamorous lifestyles and all the drama that ensues amongst them.
According to Andy Cohen, the executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise, and Page 6, the popular reality TV show is coming to Dubai, making it the 11th city in the Bravo franchise and the first official one outside of America.
Set to premiere in 2022, The Real Housewives of Dubai is one to get excited about as Bravo promises fans that there is to be “over-the-top opulence, jaw-dropping modern architecture and wild nightlife scene.”
Andy Cohen also stated, "Everything’s bigger in Dubai and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international 'Housewives’ series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides.”
With Dubai being quite a small city where everyone is somehow connected, who can we expect to see on the show? The cast has not yet been confirmed but when the news of the forthcoming show was announced on Monday 1st November 2021, Real Housewives fans took to Twitter to hedge their bets with many of them hoping to see local Emirati women on the show, and others predicting that Dubai based social media influencers could be the ones starring in the new franchise.
There have been rumors that Dubai based British reality star, Caroline Stanbury would be starring on the Real Housewives of Dubai… we will just have to watch this space!
